Hoosman, Jr. and Esther J. Haywood—by uplifting their vision for education, equity, and empowerment. Through the Hubert H. Hoosman, Jr. Scholarship and the Esther J. Haywood Scholarship, we bring together their commitment to service, leadership, and opportunity, ensuring that future generations have the tools to thrive. With every performance and every note, the Red Rose Velvet Cabaret embodies elegance, remembrance, and purpose—transforming entertainment into impact. Together, we celebrate history, honor our heroes, and invest in a brighter future for our community.

Michael P. McMillan
President and Chief Executive Officer
The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis
Michael P. McMillan has transformed the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis into the largest and most impactful National Urban League affiliate. Since becoming president and CEO in 2013, he has expanded the League's budget from $15 million to over $55 million and now serves more than 200,000 residents annually through 60 programs. His leadership spans crisis response, major infrastructure development, and championing equity across the region.

Peggy Lewis LeCompte
Educator and Servant Leader
Mrs. Peggy Lew LeCompte is an internationally recognized educator and servant leader. She served as the 10th National President of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., a four-time international officer of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden. She remains deeply committed to education, civic responsiblity, and uplifting young leaders across the community.
